Our Little Tough Guy

For all of you out there who have been wanting pictures of our little man...they're finally here!!!! Sorry this blog has taken me so long to publish, but I was unable to put pictures on when we were at the hospital and what would a blog this special be without pictures????

Spencer Wray was born at 10:58 p.m. on October 14th. He weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was not measured due to the severity of the situation.
Pictures before surgery

This isn't my favorite picture of me, but it was the very second time I got to hold him. It was the night before he went into surgery

After surgery: It was just a "little" overwhelming with how many machines he was on.

Poor little guy was so puffy because of the medicines and fluids

His chest was left open for four days after surgery until the swelling went down enough to close it. We called his dressing his little tuxedo.

Hooray!!! No more open chest!!

First time I got to feed him

Spencer without his bandage. Sweet scar huh?
What a handsome boy! Looks just like his dad doesn't he?

Ohhhhh, sweet isn't it? We made it to the recovery floor. This was an awesome feeling

When the girls visited, they were given little dolls and doctor bags so that they could help their babies get better. What a great idea huh? They loved it! Don't they look so professional??

My favorite so far without any of the tubes, wires, etc... I Love seeing his whole face and his body with clothes on!!!! He still has oxygen, however I had to take a few pictures after his bath when I replaced the little band aids that keep the hoses on.

So after all that, this is my Little Tough Guy. I am so excited to have him home and be his mommy. It's so amazing how much love you can form when you haven't even been around someone for very long. But jut like my girls, I love him like crazy! He's our little miracle...and a cute one at that!! Welcome home Spencer. We all love you!!!

He is so adorable. He looks so good and healthy. We are so glad he is home and doing well. I love the pictures of you and Wray holding him because it is one of those precious moments. It is amazing to look at the first picture of him and then the last one because he looks completely different. What a little miracle.

We are so sorry that we have not been over to welcome you all home but D has been sick with a nasty cold and sore throat, we are waiting for it to clear up and then we will be over. What a handsome little guy. When I saw him, he was sleepy, so his eyes were'nt open. He does look like his dad! Well, now Spencer and Wray both have cool scars. At least Spencer won't remember any of the pain. We are excited to have you guys all back and doing well. Let me know if you need ANYTHING!

He is such a cutie and from the looks of those last few pictures he is doing well. I am so glad that you guys are home and he is doing well. He really is a tough little guy. I love the picture of the little girls with the dolls. You know they have been doing that for a long time. When my sister was there for open heart surgery 10 years ago me and my brother and sisters got those dolls as well. They are so cute.
You guys are so awesome and such a strong family.

Cortnie and Wray,

First off, I am way to emotional for this kind of post! I was sobbing as I was reading and view photos that are priceless memories now.

I tried to call as I was reading, but you must have had your hands full, no one answered.

We are so grateful you are home and that Spencer is doing so good. I know that the Lord heard your prayers, maybe not ours, but definitely yours! What a blessing it is to have modern medicines and miracles and he will forever be a constant reminder of God's mercy.

Thanks for sharing with us the past month of your life here on the blog. I am sure it was an emotional post for you too.

We love you guys so much! Can't wait to see ya tonight!!!!

I loved looking at all the pictures!! He is just adorable!! What a miracle. We were on our way to visit you at the hospital when I got a call from Erin telling me you were all headed home that day. I am sorry we weren't able to visit. We had many prayers in your family's behalf. I am happy to see that all is well.
