This is her yummy waffle with whip cream, raspberries, and sprinkles birthday breakfast. I think she was more excited over breakfast than she was over her presents this year.
She chose to go to Blast-Off and picked Kali Harris, her best friend this summer and babysitter, to go with us. We also took her little sister Alisa for Kennedy to play with. As you can see, they did have a BLAST!!!
Oakley told me she wanted a Lion cake this year for her birthday, go figure. About three days before her birthday she remembered that at one time she had wanted a Bolt Cake instead. I looked on-line and found an idea that used some cute little figurines and thought it would be a "piece of cake" ha ha to find some at wal-mart or Toys R Us and just place them on. After searching every store in Idaho falls including the cake stores, I was left empty handed. The night before I searched the internet and found this cute idea and decided it was my last resort and tried it out. It actually didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would and I learned a few things about freezing and carving cakes. Enough said, Oakley loved it and that's all that matters.
Both sets of Grandparents came for dinner and it made for a really fun night. Oakley has been such a spunky and helpful little girl. I've really enjoyed this summer and being with her home all day. Right now she enjoys the TV show I Carly, playing in the water, the colors Orange and Pink, animals (especially lions & puppies), having "alone time" in her room without her siblings, crafts, fresh berries of every kind, lucky charms, and sleeping anywhere except for her bed. I don't know what I'd do without her!! Happy Birthday Oak's, I LOVE YOU!!
I know, I know, it's about time. So....since both sets of Grandparents came for Oakley's birthday, we decided it was time to bless Spencer. What? you may ask. Yes, due to Spencer being in the hospital so long and then being under such strict watch for the first seven months of his life, we did not formally bless him. He did, however, receive several blessings under the name of Spencer Wray he just wasn't given that name. We sort of just kept forgetting after that and figured we'd just do it at our home when it was convenient for our parents to be there. Well it's finally done!!!!! Hooray!!!! And look at this little guy. If he isn't the handsomest little boy you've ever seen you may just want to have your eye's checked.
My mom always buys the grandkids their blessing outfits and since he obviously doesn't fit into a little white outfit she bought him this adorable suit. I can't believe my little baby is a little toddler now. He has grown so fast and gotten so big.

The only thing that was forgotten after that was a picture of him with Wray and I and the Grandparents. I completely spaced getting pictures with everyone. Oh well, at least I got a couple of him.
