Yellowstone Vacation

This summer our neighbors and good friends, the McCrackens, invited our family to their family cabin in Island Park for three days. We planned on taking one whole day and dedicating it to Yellowstone Park since none of us had been there for several years and to give the kids something fun to do.

On our way to Yellowstone we made a stop at some springs (never mind the fact that I never remember the name of anything) where there were supposed to be lots of really big fish. We saw a few of them, however, there were many more seagulls that had come very accustomed to the free food.

We had fun driving through the park and were able to see many buffalo and a few moose. The kids enjoyed everything except for all of the time spent in the car.

We enjoyed Old Faithful and the geysers. The girls were impressed at first, but it didn't take long until everything started looking the same to them and they couldn't wait to get back to the cabin to play.

I think of everyone, Wray was the most excited to go on the vacation. The second we started planning the vacation, he started getting four-wheelers loaded up so we could all go a long trail ride. I think this is also what the kids enjoyed the most!

Our last stop was at Mesa Falls. Of course they were as beautiful as they were about ten years ago when I first saw them.

It was so fun to spend time with the McCracken family and have time away with my own family. It was also nice to have another family with us for picture taking. I loved getting to have a family picture just about everywhere we went.
